The Puglia Region’s Futura Call for Proposals Supports the 10th FMWJ

Like last year, in 2025 the APS Giornaliste del Mediterraneo has been ranked among the projects funded by the “Furatura Call – Puglia for Equality,” promoted by the Puglia Regional Council. Therefore, we will also be able to count on a non-repayable grant of €3,000 for the organization of the 10th Forum of Women Journalists of the Mediterranean (FMWJ).

The “Futura” call for proposals aims to support cultural projects that address gender inequality, contributing to the deconstruction of social stereotypes and promoting respect for differences. This initiative is reserved for private entities with a predominantly female membership, which operate through cultural events such as workshops, events, exhibitions, conferences, shows, and workshops.

The Mediterranean Women Journalists’ Forum, now in its tenth edition, has been recognized by the offices of the Puglia Regional Council as a respected forum for international debate, bringing together female voices from complex geopolitical contexts. The strength of this edition lies in the quality of its content, which combines journalistic analysis, human rights, and global current affairs. Central to this is its focus on fundamental freedoms and the safety of women journalists, especially in conflict zones. The Forum promotes journalism as a tool for peace and understanding among the peoples of the Mediterranean. Lecce and Bari become symbolic places of encounter and cultural exchange. The multidisciplinary approach enriches public debate. Intergenerational dialogue strengthens the transmission of skills and values. The network built between professionals transcends national borders. The educational impact is concrete and lasting. The Forum thus establishes itself as a necessary observatory of the present.
