The APS Giornaliste del Mediterraneo has drawn up its Child Safeguarding Policy, a document setting out the principles, responsibilities and procedures for the protection of children and young people involved in the association’s activities. This represents a concrete commitment to ensuring safe, inclusive and respectful environments, in line with the highest ethical and regulatory standards.
The Policy is particularly significant given the Association’s decade-long commitment to organising, around 25 November each year, the Forum of Mediterranean Women Journalists, which includes training sessions, participatory activities and storytelling with the direct involvement of students, including minors, from secondary schools. In this context, ensuring protection, appropriate conduct and the responsible use of images is an essential requirement. The protection of minors thus becomes an integral part of the quality and credibility of the entire project.
